kviknes is a lovely place to stay. the breakfast served in the heritage dining room was fantastic! we enjoyed the stunning fjord views and had plenty of vegetarian options. the lounge area was cozy, and we appreciated the live entertainment most nights.

the food was decent,, but the buffet during peak hours felt chaotic. however, the old section of the hotel really stood out with its antique decor✨. plus, the bar served fantastic local wines and the staff were generally helpful.

It was a joy to sit out there, taking in the breathtaking scenery with a drink in hand. The food options are fantastic. I enjoyed the a la carte menu, and breakfast was well-stocked and delicious. However, some parts of the hotel feel a bit outdated. The bathrooms could use better safety features, especially for older guests. I noticed minimal toiletries provided, which was disappointing. The dining area got crowded with tour groups, making it tough to find a quiet spot sometimes. Despite the minor inconveniences, I would happily return, drawn by the hotel’s rich history and breathtaking views.
